Pat was born in Eureka on March 18, 1938 to Mildred and Shirly Samuelson. Pat grew up living in Fields Landing as part of the Eureka Fisheries family and lived in Eureka her entire life.

After graduating from Eureka High School in 1957 Pat attended Humboldt State University. She then began working at Winzlers Child Care Center. Many years later when she became pregnant with her youngest Tom Jr, she decided to stay home and open her own day care.

Through her daycare, she helped parents raise many a child, something she was very proud of. Pat was involved with multiple organizations such as the Humboldt Fire Dist. One (Humboldt Bay Fire) Ladies Auxiliary, Eureka Elks Lodge Women’s Emblem club, Eureka Junior League Football and others. Pat loved to go to Bingo.

Myers Flat was a special place for Pat as it was the family camping spot (Perrett and Salizzoni’s) a place to unwind with family and friends. Many a memory (and headache) were created there.

Pat’s family would like to acknowledge Pearl Davis for being a good friend to mom and checking up on her thru out the day.

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday January 25, 2020 at the Eureka Elks Lodge from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and all are welcome to attend and celebrate Pat’s life. If you care to donate something in memory of Pat, please send donations to a charity of your choice.
