Pamela L Harvell

PAMELA LYNN HARVELL August 30, 1948 - December 30, 2018 Pamela Lynn Harvell, 70, passed away on December 30th 2018. Pamela was born August 30th 1948 in Oakland CA to the late Mary Dyer & James Harvell. In 1980 Pamela and her family moved to Humboldt County and was a long time resident of Arcata. Pamela worked for Open Door Health Clinic just shy of 35 years. She truly loved her work and the people she worked with became family. She enjoyed growing professionally through the teachings of her mentors and passing on her knowledge and expertise to others. When she wasn't working she found pleasure in traveling, gardening, cooking and watching cooking shows. She loved spending time with family and friends and always made herself available to lend a hand when needed. All whom loved Pamela dearly will never forget her tenacity, wit, compassion and humor. Pamela is survived by her sister Joyce "Martha" Kiczkowski; Pamela's daughter, Rachele; Son-In-Law, Tim Thompson and beloved grandchildren, Nicholas & Olivia; amongst a number of relatives and friends. Thank you to her many friends and co-workers for your love, support and constant presence through this unexpected and sorrowful time. The family would also like to thank Susan and staff at Humboldt House Lodge and Hospice of Humboldt for providing excellent comfort and care for Pamela. A celebration of life with music, food, family and friends will be held January 20th 2019 from 1-4pm at 2709 Greenbriar Lane in Arcata.
