Nancy Buckman, age 79 passed away peacefully on April 21, 2019, at Granada Rehabilitation & Wellness Center, Eureka, CA. On February 18, 2019, tragically, Nancy’s entire body endured much trauma as a result of being run down by a motorcyclist.
Nancy is survived by her spouse Brian Buckman & dog Lulu, step-daughter Kelly Buckman Dominici, step grand children Sophia & Gavin Dominici, brother Larry Semrau and sister-in-law Sherry Semrau, nephew Josh Semrau, nephew’s wife Youn Lee Semrau, and their son Luke Semrau.
Nancy was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin on July 9, 1939, to Lawrence Semrau and Greta Korf Semrau. She was a 1957 graduate of Riverside Poly High, Riverside CA. She worked as an administrative assistant for UCSD San Diego. On August 1, 1998, she married Brian Buckman a graphic designer in Dana Point, CA.
Nancy loved bowling and Mexican food, her favorite activity was to go to the beach and watch the waves and listen to the surf, it gave her great peace and comfort.
Nancy had a wonderful knack for talking and listening to people and helping them with their problems. Nancy truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, chatting with friends and family. Nancy had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her.
There is no viewing and if there is a celebration of life, it will happen at a later date.
