Born to Ralph & Marnel Basye, Allen was raised in West Sacramento, Ca.

He graduated from James Marshall HS and attended Sacramento City College.

He was drafted and served in the Vietnam War.

Allen was a Son, Brother, Cousin, Uncle, Husband and Friend.

A man of many talents; Allen was a builder, mechanic, repairman, gardener and artist.

Allen traversed most of the country. He was well read, enjoyed intellectual conversations and was a gifted listener.

On 8/11/18, with his devoted black labs at his feet, Allen quietly and without fanfare traveled the Milky Way.

We are better human beings having known him.

He is and will always be loved and missed.
