Ruth (Sevener) Beadle, age 98, formerly of Richland, Michigan, passed away August 19, 2023, in McKinleyville, California, with her family at her bedside.
Ruth was born November 19, 1924, in Bay City, Michigan to Austin and Eva (Rentschler) Sevener, who preceded her in death. On April 28, 1943, she married Carl Beadle. Together they raised six children: Connie Townsend (Farmington, MN), Barbara (Gary) Dominowski (Kalamazoo, MI), Virginia McDaniel (Scotts, MI), Gordon (Gayle) Beadle (McKinleyville, CA), Roger (Pam) Beadle (Mattawan, MI), and Ruth (Mike) Johnson (Kalamazoo, Ml). Carl preceded Ruth in death on January 21, 2002.
Ruth graduated from Kalamazoo Valley Community College as a Licensed Practical Nurse in August of 1977. After graduating, she went to work for Borgess Hospital where she remained until her retirement. Ruth enjoyed traveling and would be on the road whenever she had the chance. She also enjoyed spending time on her pontoon boat at Gun Lake. Ruth was a current member of Northeastern Baptist Church in Kalamazoo and was a previous member of Yorkville Community Church in Richland, Christ Baptist Church in Kalamazoo, and Essexville Baptist Church in Essexville Michigan. She enjoyed playing the piano at church and looked forward to printing the weekly bulletins.
In addition to her six children, Ruth is survived by 17 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 2 stepchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ruth was also preceded in death by her second husband, John F. Cail; her father-in-law and mother-in-law Oscar Beadle and Margaret (Buschlen) Beadle; brothers Robert, Allen, and William; and several sisters-in-law.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Humboldt in California for their care and compassion during Ruth's final days.
A memorial gathering will take place Friday, September 8, 2023, from 5-7:00 pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 622 S Burdick St, Kalamazoo, Michigan 49007.
Private family interment will be in Prairie Home Cemetery in Richland, Michigan.
