James Francis Crook Jr.

 Jim was born on 9/2/38 and passed away 9/1/17 one day before his 79th birthday, with his family by his side. He loved his work and said he would never retire and he was true to his word. He owned North Coast Environmental Construction with his partner Jim Roby. He loved to chill by watching his favorite movies "westerns" & "war" movies. He loved to cook and was always ordering pots, etc. from QVC's "In the kitchen with David". We all loved his turkey and dressing, fried potatoes, potato salad, BBQ ribs and chicken, and much more. He was a wonderful husband and father and was always there for his family and friends. The family would like to thank Christina Lastra, Elizabeth Fletcher, Michelle Allen, Marsha Allen and all those that sent food, cards and flowers. We appreciate your kindness and support.

Jim is survived by his wife of 52 years Sheila; son Steve; daughters Michelle Taylor and Jennifer Knapp; in-laws Michelle Allen, Sandy Taylor and Randy Knapp; his brother Gail Crook and wife Sharon Crook. He also leaves his grandson Caleb Knapp who was a wonderful gift in his later life. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, October 1st, 2017 at 2pm at the Crook residence 316 Trinity Street in Eureka, CA. Please join his family and friends to celebrate his life. Cremation care has been entrusted to Humboldt Cremation & Funeral Service.
